Copper Vine – New Orleans, Louisiana

Long before Copper Vine, 1001 Poydras was the home of Maylie’s, a restaurant that was opened in 1876. Owned by two French immigrants, Maylie’s originated as a bar refuge for the men who worked at the Poydras Street market. It grew to become a neighborhood institution, nourishing regulars with deviled eggs and hefty servings of jambalaya. By the time it closed almost a century later in 1986, it was one of the oldest restaurants in New Orleans.

The legacy of Maylie’s lives on at Copper Vine, most noticeably with the restoration of Maylie’s original bar inside, the rebirth of Maylie’s signature wisteria vine on our patio and the reimagining of Maylie’s iconic dishes. Copper Vine merges a legendary space with a sustainable new era in wine drinking, offering 30 aromatic and flavorful wines on tap for guests to taste and discover at the swift pull of a handle.
