Rattan
Strong, flexible, and made to last—rattan is a natural choice for designers who prioritize both sustainability and craftsmanship. We use only the highest-quality species, Tohiti and Manau, selected for their density and long fibers. The result is woven furniture that resists warping, endures the elements, and brings handmade texture to interiors with integrity.
Where Rattan Works Best
Rattan is best suited for indoor spaces, where its natural fibers are protected from prolonged moisture and changing weather conditions. In warm, dry climates, it may also be used in covered outdoor areas such as verandas and screened porches. To preserve the material, keep rattan away from rain, high humidity, and poolside environments, as excess moisture can weaken the fibers and shorten the life of the furniture.
Care & Longevity
Rattan requires minimal maintenance to retain its strength and natural beauty. Regularly remove dust with a soft brush or vacuum attachment, and wipe the surface with a well-wrung damp cloth as needed. Avoid saturating the material with water. With proper care, rattan furniture can last for generations, and minor wear such as loose bindings can often be repaired rather than requiring replacement.
