Why Designers Choose COM

Design projects often require materials that align perfectly with the vision of a space. With Designerie’s COM program, designers can specify their own fabric or leather while maintaining the integrity of the furniture design. Our team assists with yardage confirmation, material review, and production coordination to keep projects moving smoothly.

Many Designerie pieces are specified for hospitality, restaurant, and commercial environments, while remaining equally suited for residential interiors. Each custom piece is crafted with the same European craftsmanship and attention to detail as our standard upholstery.

Common COM Applications

Designerie's COM program is frequently used for:

  • Restaurants & hospitality projects
  • Boutique hotels
  • Residential interiors
  • Multi-unit developments
  • Commercial spaces

Whether you are coordinating a full hospitality install or specifying pieces for a residential project, our team can help guide the process.

COM Material Guidelines

To ensure the best results, all Customer’s Own Material submissions are reviewed prior to production. Our team confirms fabric compatibility and required yardage before materials are sent.

Typical considerations include:

  • Upholstery-grade fabrics suitable for furniture use
  • Durability appropriate for hospitality or residential environments
  • Adequate fabric width for pattern alignment

Final yardage requirements will be confirmed once materials are approved for production.
